- Today, I want to get personal and share what I am currently experiencing, which is preparing for an Empty Nest. I didn’t realize until now that empty nest begins before the nest is actually empty and it hurts. I’ve listened to sermons, sought God’s instructions through His Word and prayer, conversing with my husband, and many other ways to understand. All spoke of the benefits of financial freedom, having more time, privacy you’ll gain, and what your life might look like after the children become independent. Few if any didn’t address how your cultural upbringing plays a role neither the growing pains involved. Becoming an Empty Nest is a test, and will soon be a testament to your faith and hope in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces [a]patience. James 1:2-3
